With Fairway Divorce Solutions, she has created another category that fairly represents both parties when dealing with all issues of divorce.

Today, Fairway Divorce Solutions, Ltd., announced the opening of its first two additional franchises. One has opened in Edmonton and a second in Calgary, rolling into action a strategic plan to aggressively expand its operations throughout Canada and the United States.

I am thrilled to be one of the first to take the company to a new level and offer this efficient service to more people looking for a sensible alternative to the traditional divorce.”

The new Calgary franchise is located in south Calgary, making it more accessible to clients in that area. The phone numbers for both locations are: Additional franchises are scheduled to open across Western Canada in fall 2008. Prior to Fairway, Mr. Herold was a leading force behind 1-800-GOT-JUNK?’s explosive success, growing from a start-up in Vancouver to a franchised company in virtually every major city in North America and Australia.

As the beacon for a “new alternative divorce,” Fairway Divorce Solutions is Changing the Way Divorce Happens™ by saving people money, stress, time and most importantly children from needless financial and emotional pain. It is an alternative to the traditional process of divorce, whereby a couple is taken step by step through The Fairway Process with a trained negotiator, who facilitates resolution on all issues in divorce.

There’s a funky new franchise on the market: Flip Flop Shops. Flip Flop Shops, a new concept focused on footwear and sandals, has launched a nationwide expansion effort to recruit franchises. With seven U.S. locations open, Flip Flop Shops is calling for 236 stores across the country within five years.

In a statement, the owners said that once reserved only for poolside or beachwear, flip flops have grown to become the “global youth uniform,” as well as accepted footwear for anyone ranging from surfers to high-level corporate executives. It said flip flop sales exceeded those of athletic shoes for the first time in 2006, and flip flop fever has continued to build momentum ever since.

“Flip Flop Shops is more than a store—it’s a lifestyle,” said Brian Curin, Flip Flop Shops president. “Our flip flops are an extension of who we are and what we stand for. There are droves of people just as passionate about freeing their toes as we are. By focusing on doing right by our franchisees, our consumers and the hottest brands we carry, we have been able to develop what is destined to become a breakthrough brand with cult-like following.”

Among the unique features of the concept is that within 15 feet away, consumers can smell coconut suntan oil scent and hear active lifestyle inspired music.

New Salon Franchise

June 3, 2008 by Sean Kelly · 1 Comment

The trend in the salon rental industry is now shifting toward the salon suite concept. There’s a new salon franchise hoping to capitalize on that trend: Salons by JC.

Salons by JC provides high-end retail space for beauty and wellness practitioners. The original Salon by JC opened in 1998. Other salons followed and there are now a total of 6 operating Salons by JC in the Arlington, Dallas, and San Antonio areas and Salons by JC is projecting 12 franchisees over the next 12 months.

The Salons by JC franchise program incorporates site selection, facility development, inventory guidance, and operational instruction into your business vision. Some of the advantages appear to be no inventory, low labor costs (only 1-2 employees needed to start your business) and the ability for the franchisee to operate as an absentee owner.

New Pizza Franchise

May 25, 2008 by Sean Kelly · 1 Comment

We’ve discovered a new pizza franchise opportunity from an old name in pizza.  For more than four decades, pizza loveers in the Northeast have enjoyed the crisp crust and distinctive taste of pizza from Papa Gino’s. Finally, Papa Gino’s decided to let franchise owners get a piece of their pie… through the Papa Gino’s franchise program.

Papa Gino’s, a venerable New England pizza chain, has signed an agreement with the brand’s first-ever franchisee. “We have been serving New England for over 40 years, but this agreement creates an opportunity for individual investors to become involved with our business model and allows us to grow our brand recognition,” says Anthony Padulo, Senior Vice President of Franchise Development.

Rajender and Sunita Malhotra are the first to partner with Papa Gino’s and have agreed to build three restaurants over the next three years. While the locations have not been finalized, preliminary indications suggest they will be in Beverly, Salem, and Swampscott, Massachusetts. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The Malhotras say they’re excited about becoming the first Papa Gino’s franchisees. “Papa Gino’s has strong brand recognition in Boston and the surrounding suburbs,” Rajender says. “We saw this as a unique opportunity to become involved with an established restaurant franchise with a built-in customer base.

Dedham, Massachusetts-based Papa Gino’s Holding Corporation, the parent company of Papa Gino’s, operates more than 360 company-owned and franchised restaurants and employs more than 5,000 people.

New Sales & Publishing Franchise

May 23, 2008 by Sean Kelly · Leave a Comment

image (FranchisePick.Com) TheHomeMag is a unique publishing franchise business based on the publication of a full-color advertising “magazine” that contains home-service and product related advertising. According to the corporate office of TheHomeMag, they intend to expand their operations by adding 58 new markets throughout the United States.

TheHomeMag started franchising in late 2006 and currently has 29 magazines with a monthly circulation reaching over five million homes in 12 states.

The idea behind this new expansion initiative is based on offering franchise ownership in designated locations at a reduced cost. President Chris Goebel states, “We are looking for franchisees with great sales expertise who have vast knowledge about these cities. Whether they currently reside, or have lived there in the past and are very familiar with both demographics and factors that drive the economy, intimate knowledge of the location is necessary.”

Rapid expansion of TheHomeMag has been based on two factors: developing a duplicatable formulthehomemagbuttona for reaching the right audience for advertisers through a constantly evolving targeted distribution list, and providing opportunities for people to own a franchise business with a reasonable financial threshold of entry.

Goebel states, “We are aware that not all great operators have the capital to invest in their own business. Our plan is to capture the best business and sales people by offering an affordable option for franchise ownership. We are opening locations that can be purchased for almost one-third of our normal franchise fee. These locations have smaller populations, but franchisees can still be very successful. For many, it is a way to return to their hometown with an opportunity to make a comparatively substantial income. Our franchise model allows each franchisee to focus solely on sales consulting, customer service, and business management while design, production and distribution are handled by corporate. Franchisees are trained and supported by TheHomeMag in a way that affords them the best opportunity to become successful without having prior experience in publishing.”

TheHomeMag was created to provide an efficient method for delivering remodeling inspiration to homeowners. By using visual advertising, homeowners can immediately identify ideas for enhancing their homes and lifestyle. The homeowner can take a visual idea and turn it into reality without spending time searching for contractors.

TheHomeMag anticipates that over 26 million single family homes will receive their magazine each month in over 180 publishing locations by the end of 2012. For more information on TheHomeMag franchise, click the request info button.
