Camp Bow Wow Opens Near Airport Camp Bow Wow Tampa Airport is the area’s newest doggy day care and overnight boarding facility. It’s at 4624 N. Grady Ave., a block west of the Sam Selzer’s Steakhouse on North Dale Mabry Highway. "Whether you are working in town or hopping on a flight, we are conveniently located and ready to take good care of your loved ones," owner Barbara Cardin said in a release. The business will offer tours during a grand opening from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Camp Bow Wow has three indoor and three outdoor play areas. There are 75 boarding "cabins" with cots and fleece bedding. Dog owners can view their pet from remote locations via the live "camper cams."

Daily rates are $27, with the first day free if dogs are accepted after a required 20-minute screening. Ten-day packages are $250; overnight stays are $40. This is the first Tampa location for the Colorado-based Camp Bow Wow franchise. Another location is expected to open in Riverview this year. The Tampa Airport facility is open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, with varying hours on weekends and holidays. Call (813) 870-2267 for information.
